Holding on...

Today's harvest was meager. Dusty's decided to hold on to his remaining hair for a bit longer,  apparrently. Frani suggested a mouse,  but I set my sights on something a little less ambitious,  while keeping to the idea.

The Supply is Dwindling

Or at least, slowing down a bit.

Mid-April to be exact. I still wasn't taking it too seriously.

We had another doggie:



I took a horse hair sabbatical for a bit... or at least I didn't take photos of my creations.

In the beginning...

For years I've been saying that my old horse sheds so much fur in the spring I could make another animal out of it. A few years ago, I decided to do it.

My first attempt:







I should mention, those are 50lb bags of grain in the background. This was a pretty large doggie.

He became a "he", courtesy of my friend Suzanne:




And the next day, he'd moved a bit:
